SIPJ wins award to carry out SEEED JobsForLife 2

On 10 December 2015, Dato’ Anusha Santhirasthipam of SI Club of Petaling Jaya received RM125,000 of funding as an award for “Delivering High Impact Social Services At Low Cost”. The funds will be deployed to tackle Youth Unemployment and Combat Social Ills in Pandamaran and Kapar in Selangor through SIPJ’s Award-winning Programme, SEEED Jobs for Life. This is a pioneering ground-breaking SOCIAL PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP comprising of a consortium of public listed companies called Malaysian Collaborative Impact Initiative (MCII) supported by Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (Prime Minister’s Office) and monitored by Thoughts In Gear, an independent consultancy. Anusha also participated in two full days of Customised Effectiveness Training to master the usage of a Social Impact Measurement Toolkit. It was an absolutely amazing programme conducted at the spectacular MaGIC Building recently opened by USA President Barack Obama and Malaysia’s Prime Minister Najib Razak.

As the conceptualiser and project lead of SEEED JobsForLife, Anusha was very pleased with the award and said, “It is great news for people who reside and study close to Pandamaran and Kapar. In January 2016, we will bring SEEED Jobs For Life “Youth Employment Readiness, Employability and Job Placement Programme to reach out to young men and women aged 18 to 25 years in your local area.

“Our Mission? Educate, Empower and Enable our Malaysian unemployed Youth to secure and sustain employment, achieve financial independence and become exemplary role model youth leaders. Thank you Agensi Inovasi Malaysia, MCII (Malaysian Collaborative Impact Initiative), NBOS (National Blue Ocean Strategy), Thoughts In Gear, ServeBetter and MaGIC.”
